Responsibilities
The day-to-day responsibilities of the IT Specialist include troubleshooting networking issues, administration of core networking equipment and virtual infrastructure, maintenance of Windows Server, FreeBSD-based, and Debian-based servers, maintenance of firewall rules, administration of cloud server infrastructure, and design of small satellite networks.
Qualifications
- 5 years of IT experience with progressive career growth
- 2 years of experience in a role administering severs, networks, cloud services or virtual infrastructure
- Extensive experience with four or more of the following:
- Microsoft SharePoint online, accessed through both Teams and Windows Explorer
- Microsoft Power Platform or Microsoft Fabric or Dynamics 365
- Scripting using Python, PowerShell, Batch, Bash or Shell
- LAMP server administration or Docker host server administration with PKI
- MS SQL Server administration
- C# .Net Forms or GoLang development
- Microsoft Intune
- iSCSI SAN administration (preferably using TrueNAS)
- VMware vSphere or ProxMox
- Linux Samba servers managed with Webmin
- Ubiquiti Edge Switches and Unifi Wireless hardware
- PfSense/OPNsense routers
- Fortinet FortiGate/FortiWifi firewalls
- Windows 10/11 advanced troubleshtooting and administration
- Xcitium Enterprise platform (XDR, RMM)
