Computer Repair Technician
The Rotten Apples Repair Technician role is a hybrid position consisting of technical repair work and customer service duties. Duties Include: Diagnosing/Troubleshooting equipment such as Smartphones, Tablets, Laptop & Desktop computers. Electronic component level troubleshooting. Repairing customer devices. Answering customer inquiries by telephone, email or in person Operating the company's POS/CRM system via Apple OS X & Windows. Using company equipment and refurbishing machines. Creating and maintaining customer tickets with notes and relevant information Contacting and updating customers via email and telephone with relevant information concerning their repair status/outcome. Checking customers in and out and taking payments via company POS. General cleaning/organizing and daily maintenance of the shop Assisting manager with daily tasks as needed.
Role: As a Rotten Apples Repair Technician, you will repair a myriad of devices, most of which will be Apple products. You will have both hourly and daily deadlines in your workday and will reasonably be expected to meet them consistently. You will also have customer service duties such as answering phone callsinquiries, communicating clearly & effectively with customers concerning their device(s), checking devices in and out, taking payments, etc.
Salaries & Benefits: The starting wage for an employee will be experience based starting $15.00/hour. Qualified technicians/managers may be offered up to $30.00/hour. After the 90 day probation period, employees will be evaluated based on their performance and a subsequent raise will be offered, if performance is satisfactory. All full time (40 hours/week) employees will receive paid holidays. Store Hours & Availability: We are open the following hours and you must be available to work during these times": MondayThursday 10am-7pm Friday 10am-6pm Saturday-11am-5pm We are closed on Sundays You will receive a consistent schedule of days on/off once your training is complete. Training: Training will remain ongoing throughout your employment with the company. As new devices come to market, you will be learning how to repair them. This position will require you to be constantly learning and mastering new devices.
