We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on a variety of equipment, including generators, diesel engines, and automotive vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and possess excellent customer service skills.
Your responsibilities would be as follows:
- Follow company policies, procedures, and work standards.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on power equipment to ensure they are running and operating to the highest capacity.
- Adhere to instructions given by management or the Lead Mechanic when the manager is unavailable or absent
- Keep accurate records of time and materials used on each job
- Supply needed information to document all routine and major repairs
- Inspect and test all incoming equipment, two and four stroke machines
- Participate in all necessary trainings
- Follow proper safety procedures and standards on a regular basis
- Arrive on time for each scheduled work day, dressed in work appropriate attire
- Interact with customers as needed appropriately
- When asked, assist with deliveries, inventory, and unloading whole goods.
-Must have own tools to perform the job
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years as a mechanic in the power equipment industry
- Complete working knowledge of both two and four stroke equipment
- Ability to trouble shoot minor technical repair problems
- Ability to trouble shoot EFI repair problems and use computerized or mechanical test and repair equipment
- Ability to follow instructions given by management without question
- Ability to participate in a team environment and work well with others
- Ability to deliver quality results under tight deadlines
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and participate in trainings or continued education
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety protocols by practicing safe work behaviors
- Demonstrate accountability for mistakes and a willingness to fix behavior
- Demonstrate accountability for work being performed and completed on a schedule
Physical demands:
Able to push, pull, lift, etc. 50lbs on occasion, and frequently transport equipment around the shop. Physical requirements also include lifting, bending, walking, carrying, pushing, pulling (i.e. lawnmowers, trimmers, chainsaws) on a repetitive basis.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
