Supervising Crew Member (Supervisor)
Hermantown/Duluth Evening Shift.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monitor Crew Members working under delegated locations.
- Perform training for new hires and current staff including re-training and coaching.
- Report incidents to HR and/or Management team.
- Participates in daily cleaning routines with staff.
- Perform Quarterly and Semi-Annual services for delegated locations.
- Completes employee reviews.
- Holds routine meetings and/or communication with staff and management.
- Sweeps and mops floors, vacuums, and spot clean carpeted areas.
- Dusts and polishes furniture and woodwork; dusts counters, windowsills, window blinds and similar fixtures.
- Washes doors, windows, walls, ceilings, window blinds and furniture; polishes metalwork.
- Reports the need for maintenance or repair of facilities to the appropriate supervisor; corrects and/ or reports any fire or safety hazards, and places barriers in public areas.
- Maintains equipment, materials, and supplies in proper condition.
- Promotes co-operation and a welcoming environment for all.
- Observes safe working practices, including maintaining storage areas in a safe condition.
- Follows label instructions to mix and dilute cleansers, disinfectants, and stripping agents to ensure proper strength for use.
- Answers questions and provides standard information to customers and staff.
- Reports on unauthorized people and other security problems.
- Reports to Management for time off requests and call-offs.
- Maintains accuracy and quality for services provided through inspections.
- Ensure coverage for staff, communicates with Management when there are staff shortages.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with Management and clients served.
- Adapts to changing environment.
- Provides constructive feedback for work environment with Management.
- Has reliable transportation.
- Retains an active and valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass background check.
- Complete staff scheduling.
- Maintains communication with staff and management team.
- Complete and submit supply orders on time.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to read and understand MSDS sheets and instructions related to chemical usage.
- Ability to bend and stoop to clean out of way areas.
- Ability to push and pull vacuum cleaner and other equipment.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move tables and chairs to clean areas thoroughly (maximum of 50 pounds.)
- Ability to work with chemicals for cleaning.
- Ability to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
- Ability to reach overhead for extended periods of time.
- Must show respect for differences in background, viewpoint, and need.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous cleaning experience.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Previous management experience.
- Previous floor cleaning experience.
Work Environment:
These work environment factors are general in nature and may vary depending on the specific position/ site being filled. Constant: Near and midrange vision; hearing within 5 ft up to 20 ft; use of arms; right and left wrist turns. Frequent: Lift and carry up to 50 pounds; far vision; depth perception; balance; bending and rotating neck; use of fingers; grasp; handle; reaching above shoulder; sit; squat; stoop/bend; walk; talk/ speak; work with and around others, or work alone; may work with behavioral and /or physical challenges; and customer/ public contact.
