We are seeking a talented and experienced Lighting Artist to join our game cinematics team. Responsibilities:
- Use industry standard tools and techniques to create dynamic and immersive lighting that enhances gameplay and storytelling.
- Optimize lighting and shadowing to ensure optimal performance on various gaming platforms.
- Troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to lighting in collaboration with other team members.
- Manage and prioritize tasks to ensure timely delivery of high quality lighting assets
- Strive for excellence and push the boundaries of what is possible with lighting in video games.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest rendering technologies and lighting techniques relevant to the game industry.
- Conduct research and experimentation with new tools and techniques to improve the lighting workflow and quality. .
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lighting Artist in the video game industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional skills in lighting, shading, and material creation.
- In-depth understanding of rendering pipelines and optimization techniques for real-time rendering engines (e.g., Unreal Engine).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with various teams within the development process.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually stunning and immersive game cinematic experiences.
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5 and 3D software, especially Lumen in UE, Niagara, and Houdini
- Experience working on a shipped AAA game title.
- Familiarity with game design principles and the challenges of real-time rendering for video games.
- Understanding scripting or programming to automate tasks and streamline workflows
