We are seeking a skilled Unreal Engine Generalist to join our dynamic game cinematics team. This role will support the creation of AAA game cinematics by contributing across multiple disciplines, including lighting, visual effects, environment setup, and real-time rendering. If you’re a versatile Unreal Engine expert passionate about delivering stunning cinematic experiences, we want you on our team! This is an on-site role located in Los Angeles, CA.
Responsibilities :
Collaborate with the Cinematic Director, CG Supervisor, and production team to bring creative visions to life.
Create, optimize, and implement real-time VFX and lighting using Unreal Engine 5.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges, ensuring seamless production workflows.
Optimize performance for various platforms, ensuring smooth real-time experiences.
Implement feedback and follow creative direction to enhance the cinematic experience.
Stay current on industry trends and continuously push the technical and creative boundaries of what’s possible.
Requirements :
Minimum 5 years of production experience in the game industry
Minimum of 1 shipped title with an established game studio
In-depth understanding of rendering pipelines and optimization techniques for real-time rendering engines (e.g., Unreal Engine).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with various teams within the development process.
A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually stunning and immersive game cinematic experiences.
Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5, Lumen, Niagara, Houdini and Maya.
Familiarity with game design principles and the challenges of real-time rendering for video games.
Understanding scripting or programming to automate tasks and streamline workflows
Salary : $70,000 - $115,000 / year. Onsite. Full time. Range depends on experience, education, and qualifications.
