Company Overview: Join our dynamic team at a leading independent music publishing company. As a vital liaison between our company's administrators, sub-publishers, and artist/writer clients, you will play a crucial role in managing royalty issues, copyright registrations, and catalog maintenance. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple departments in a purely business-oriented capacity.
Responsibilities:
- Manage royalty accounting issues for licensing and publishing clients.
- Collaborate closely with our main administrator, various sub-publishers, and our business management firm to facilitate catalog shipments, royalty distributions, and statement processing.
- Generate and distribute various company reports, including licensing activity, revenue collections, NPS reports, and accounts receivable statements.
- Provide support to the team on miscellaneous tasks and projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Proficiency in Counterpoint/Music Maestro is essential (2-3 years experience preferred).
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Basic familiarity with Mac and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with Quickbooks and Filemaker is advantageous.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in music publishing administration and royalties.
Additional Information:
- Demonstrated drive and initiative as a self-starter.
- Comfortable managing multiple large projects simultaneously.
- General work hours: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Option for remote work with occasional in-office meetings.
