The Round Lake Area Park District is seeking a seasonal outdoor recreation instructor!
Are you looking for extra work this summer? Are you interested in working in parks and recreation? Do you enjoy getting out on the water? Does fishing and paddling interest you? Then, our seasonal recreation instructor position is the position for you!
The Prairie Grass Nature Museum and Huebner Fishery Management Foundation are seeking one seasonal recreation instructor to work with staff on fishing and paddling programs in the 2025 summer season. The Recreation instructor position is a seasonal hourly position (10-15 hours per week). The position will approximately run from June - August 2025.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of paddling safety and rescue techniques
- Valid driver's license
- Communication skills
- Customer service skills
- Must enjoy working with children and adults
- First Aid/CPR certified or able to become certified before programming begins.
Your responsibilities will include leading programs and events to the Round Lake Area Community featuring fishing and paddling. This position requires the ability to physically move paddling equipment as needed for programming.
