Job Summary
The ideal candidate will hold a valid State of Arizona teaching certificate and meet all certification requirements, including teaching area endorsement in the State of Arizona. They will demonstrate skills in performance of the Arizona Professional Teacher Standard.
Reports to:
- Building Principal and/or assigned supervisor
Job Goal:
To lead students toward the fulfillment of their potential by translating district curriculum goals and objectives into learning experiences for each individual student.
Terms of Employment:
- Salary and work year determined by the Board of Education
Responsibilities:
Instructional
A teacher's primary responsibility is to plan and implement a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students within the district curriculum.
- To use effective teaching techniques and materials to implement established curriculum goals and objectives.
- To have a weekly written lesson plan describing daily learning experiences, correlated with the aims and/or objectives in curriculum guide and/or course outline.
- To monitor and assess student progress in order to offer feedback on a regular basis to students and their parents.
- To diagnose, instruct, and evaluate specific student needs and seek help of district specialists as required.
- To communicate objectives to students in a well-planned, organized way using clear and precise language.
