OBJECTIVE :
A Server's responsibility is to provide a warm, welcoming dining experience for residents and their guests by attending to all aspects of the dining environments and service.
- Assist residents during meal time by helping residents locate their table, confirming their arrival and selection for the kitchen delivering meals, providing beverage service, etc. Servers also ensure the timely delivery of food and beverages by checking on residents periodically throughout the service time.
- Assists residents with submitting future menu selections including consideration of allergies or specific food requirements. Assures all residents have turned in their menus in a timely manner and answers questions about food and drink options.
- Provides exceptional customer service with a pleasant demeanor.
- Maintains clean, stocked, professional dining environment including drink station.
- Promotes and assures adherence to strict sanitary controls and food safety to assure compliance with regulatory agency guidelines. Clears tables after meal service and sets tables for next meal. Cleans equipment, tables, chairs, service equipment, carts, and work areas by utilizing approved practices and cleaning agents.
- They must have excellent listening skills and be detail-oriented since they have to understand exactly what people want. They also need to ask the appropriate questions to deliver the best service possible.
- Employee is actively involved in continuous quality improvement within the Department and facility and demonstrated initiative on completion of daily tasks and is involved in teamwork efforts.
- Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and customer service in daily job duties.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by authorized personnel or as may be required to meet emergency situations.

EDUCATION : Must have a high school diploma, GED or pass assessment test. Candidates with high school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age will have the opportunity to cross-train as a DCWI.
