This individual is self-motivated and requires limited direction to achieve their objectives. The position reports to the Store Director.
The basic function of an Assistant Meat Manager is to ensure that the Meat Department is staffed with well-trained associates and merchandised so customers receive superior quality and service.
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or GED preferred; 6 months to 1 year of journeyman meat cutting experience required.
- Physical requirements include: standing/walking 95% of the time; Ability to lift 85 lbs. waist high;
- Ability to see, taste, smell, and feel product; Ability to communicate with team members and customers.
Major responsibilities include:
- Enhancing the Human Resource assets of the Meat Department;
- managing Meat team members;
- managing the day-to-day operations of the Meat Department;
- Assist the Meat Manager as needed, and accept the responsibility of Meat Manager in his/her absence.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
