Junior Software Developer

Position Summary

Rouses Markets is seeking a Junior Software Developer to join our technology team. In this role, you will assist in the development and maintenance of enterprise applications using our technology stack, which includes .NET, Blazor, SQL Server, and Windows Server environments. You will focus on building performant solutions that support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Software Development: Participate in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications with the .NET Framework, .NET Core, and Blazor to create modern web applications and user interfaces.
• Database Development: Assist in working with SQL Server for database design, optimization, and maintenance. Help write T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers to support application functionality.
• Application Architecture: Contribute to the architecture of applications, focusing on performance, scalability, and maintainability within our on-premises Windows Server environment.
• Documentation: Help maintain documentation for development processes, system designs, and application architecture.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in software development, or relevant internships/training.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic to intermediate experience with C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
• Familiarity with Blazor for building web applications.
• Basic understanding of SQL Server, including writing queries and working with databases.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
• Understanding of RESTful API concepts.

Physical Requirements

• Able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Sitting for several hours throughout the day.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
