The Electronic and Controls Engineering Intern will work alongside Electronics and Controls Engineers to develop control systems for internal Roush projects and external customers. The Electronic and Controls Engineering Intern will develop simple control system software, write software and electrical documentation, and assist with integration, commissioning and deployment of electromechanical control systems. This is an onsite 40-hour-per-week paid internship position located in Livonia, MI.

Responsibilities
- Develop simple control system software, including software architecture and control algorithms
- Write software documentation such as flowcharts, state diagrams, timing diagrams, pseudocode, theory of operations, and Unified Modeling Language (UML)
- Write electrical design documentation such as schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness drawings
- Coordinate with other Roush fabricators and technicians to have custom electrical and mechanical assemblies built
- Assist with gathering engineering data, including vehicle instrumentation, bench testing, and logging data for post processing and analysis
- Assist with control system integration, commissioning, and validation tasks such as wiring installation, testing, tuning, and troubleshooting
- Write reports on testing and logged data for senior engineers
