What it's like to be a Senior IT Specialist at ROUSH YATES RACING ENGINES
As a Senior IT Specialist at Roush Yates Racing Engines, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the IT Director in overseeing and optimizing the company's computer networks. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing effective troubleshooting strategies to minimize downtime and reduce maintenance costs. You will create actionable plans for upgrading network software in line with new updates and implement strategies to ensure seamless operation during unforeseen issues.
Staying abreast of the latest advancements in network technology will allow you to provide informed recommendations to our executive team. Collaborating with department managers, you'll assess growth needs and ensure our network infrastructure meets business demands. Additionally, your involvement in annual budget planning will ensure that hardware and software requirements are effectively addressed, while offering critical technical support and troubleshooting for staff, including data storage and file backup solutions. Work closely with department managers to identify hardware or software needs and install as needed.

Skills and Qualifications :
- Expert knowledge of IT best practices, policies and regulations
- In-depth understanding of programming, computer science and digital security
- A clear understanding of client / server technology and network architecture
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Advanced leadership and conflict management skills
- Great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management and prioritization
- Experience with Windows OS from 98 to Current
- Experience with Linux OS
