JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Busser
Department: All F&B Venues
Employment Classification: Non-Exempt
Position Summary/General Description:
A Busser is quick, efficient and quiet clearing, cleaning and re-setting of tables, and assisting servers in providing friendly and efficient service to our guests.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant and service areas including tables and chairs located in the dining area.
- Handle a fast paced environment with multiple tasks under time constraint.
- Replenish items such as condiments, silverware, glassware and dishes as needed to all server stations.
- Assist Food Servers in accommodating the needs and requests of patrons.
- Must be able to handle a heavy business volume in a timely manner.
- Transport dirty dishes, silverware and glasses to the kitchen using the bus cart as the need arises.
- Remove all dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware from tables.
- Reset tables and booths for the use of the next customer.
- Provide fast, friendly and courteous customer service.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by operating an efficient and sanitary department.
- Build relationships and loyalty with guests through sincere and meaningful interactions (e.g., learn guests’ names and preferences; connect with them individually and professionally; smile; make eye contact and verbally greet guests).
- Develop a thorough knowledge of services, room locations, amenities, surroundings (i.e. gift shop, restaurants, theater, etc.) providing accurate directions and information for guest inquiries about promotions and special events.
- Be a team player (e.g., work toward team goals and foster a collaborative and positive work environment; put the team first; assist coworkers; treat all coworkers with kindness, courtesy and respect; never engage in negativity; maintain openness to coaching, learning and improving; receptive to change and willingness to embrace challenges with team-spirit).
- At all times maintain a courteous, positive and professional working relationship with all LDC personnel and the general public (e.g., coworkers, clients and vendors).
- Work under pressure; maintain regular and punctual attendance including working odd or unusual hours, weekends and holidays.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Must have relevant work experience.
- Must be nineteen (19) years of age or older.
Licensing & Certification:
- Obtain, within thirty days from day of employment, alcohol service certification, and maintain certification throughout employment.
Computer Equipment, Software, Machinery:
- Maneuver bus cart.
- Operate and maintain dispensers such as: fountain, juice, creamer, coffee and tea brewers.
Essential Physical Requirements:
- The job requires the ability to crouch/stoop, hear, kneel, reach overhead, stand, talk, turn/twist, and walk 100% of the time.
- The job requires the ability to push/pull, carry, lift and slide/transfer 1-25 lbs. 51-100% of the time.
- The job requires the ability to bend over 75-100% of the time.
- The job requires the ability to push/pull, carry, lift and slide/transfer up to 50 lbs. 75% of the time.
Essential Mental Demands:
- The job requires the ability to organize and plan 51-100% of the time.
- The job requires the ability to problem solve and make decisions 25-50% of the time.

Work Environment (inside/outside):
- The job is performed indoors in a restaurant environment.
Other Requirements:
- Must pass a pre-employment alcohol/drug screen.
