Position Summary/General Description:
A Bingo Attendant ensures customers have an entertaining and friendly bingo experience by explaining games to customers, selling bingo machines and paper, calling bingo numbers and balancing all bingo paper and money issued.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Start bingo sales and session on-time.
- Count/sign receipts for all papers and banks from paper issue or paymaster accurately and on time.
- Operate a point of sale system/cash register. Keep register area neat, clean and stocked with necessary supplies; and documents discrepancies.
- Maintain sales in an organized manner, promote and up-sale games and merchandise ensuring efficient and accurate service while providing guests with instructions, play assistance, payouts, costs and/or other information.
- Verify all bingo winnings within the allotted time frame.
- Pay prize money won during the session.
- Call bingo numbers consistently.
- Stay alert and visually scan the entire audience.
- Ensure all signage is accurate, this includes all progressive games. Update daily as needed.
- Ensure that all PA systems, and caller’s equipment are in good working condition before a session starts and keep stage area clean.
- Make sure that the games are kept running and crowd remains calm in the light of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances.
- Make sure that customers are well advised on all procedures for all games.
- Make announcements correctly and at appropriate time.
- Speak over microphones clearly and distinctly.
- Promote and practice safe workplace practices, as outlined in safety and procedure training.
- Be knowledgeable of products and visually identify series and paper being used on the floor.
- Strictly adhere to Bingo Department Policy and procedures and the Pueblo of Laguna Gaming Control Board/Tribal Gaming Regulatory Authority rules and regulations.
- Build relationships and loyalty with guests through sincere and meaningful interactions (e.g., learn guests’ names and preferences; connect with them individually and professionally; smile; make eye contact and verbally greet guests from arrival to the property through departure; provide fast and friendly service to guests) and exercise initiative, tact and courtesy when handling problems.

- At all times maintain a courteous, positive and professional working relationship with all LDC personnel and the general public (e.g., coworkers, clients and vendors).
- Work under pressure; maintain regular and punctual attendance including working odd and unusual hours, weekends and holidays.
- Handle guest questions and playing needs efficiently, deferring disputes/conflicts to supervisory staff.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must have relevant work experience.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Previous calling and/or cash handling experience desirable.
Licensing & Certification:
- None.
Computer Equipment, Software, Machinery:
- Proficient in basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proficient with basic office equipment (e.g., copy machine, computer, phone).
- Use of microphone and public address system.
- Use of point of sale/cash register.
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Requires the ability to balance/climb, bend over, crouch/stoop, hear, kneel, reach overhead, sit, stand, talk, turn/twist and repetitively use hands 51-100% of the time.
Requires the ability to push/pull, carry, lift, and slide/transfer 50 lbs. 51-100% of the time.
Essential Mental Demands:
- Requires the ability to solve problems, organize, plan, make decision, interpret data, read and write 51-100% of the time.

- None.
Work Environment (inside/outside):
- The job is performed indoors with exposure to loud noises, confined areas and smoke.
Other Requirements:
- Obtain and maintain a gaming license through the Pueblo of Laguna’s Gaming Control Board.
- Must comply with LDC and the Federal Government Bank Secrecy Act by acquiring and/or maintaining a Title 31 Certification.
- Must pass a pre-employment alcohol/drug screening and cashiers test.
Essential Mental Demands:

- Requires the ability to plan 25-50% of the time.

- Train, discipline, apportion work among employees, direct, appraise productivity and measure performance.
