Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Escrow Officer to join our team. Duties
- Manage the entire escrow process from opening to closing for residential and commercial real estate transactions
- Review contracts, loan documents, and other relevant paperwork to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Coordinate with lenders, title companies, real estate agents, and other parties involved in the transaction
- Prepare settlement statements, including the allocation of funds and disbursement of payments
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of property records, titles, and liens
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on the progress of the transaction and addressing any concerns or questions
- Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance
Requirements
- Minimum of [5] years of experience as an Escrow Officer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of escrow procedures, real estate contracts, and mortgage lending
- Familiarity with TILA, FNMA guidelines, mortgage servicing, loan processing, and underwriting is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling complex transactions
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Proficiency in basic math for financial calculations related to escrow accounts.
- A background in banking or financial services.
- Proficient in using RBJ software.
