Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Escrow Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the escrow process for real estate transactions, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met and funds are handled appropriately. This position requires strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of financial services, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, lenders, and real estate agents.

Duties

  • Manage the entire escrow process from opening to closing for residential and commercial real estate transactions
  • Review contracts, loan documents, and other relevant paperwork to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
  • Coordinate with lenders, title companies, real estate agents, and other parties involved in the transaction
  • Prepare settlement statements, including the allocation of funds and disbursement of payments
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of property records, titles, and liens
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on the progress of the transaction and addressing any concerns or questions
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance

Requirements

  • Minimum of [5] years of experience as an Escrow Officer or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of escrow procedures, real estate contracts, and mortgage lending
  • Familiarity with TILA, FNMA guidelines, mortgage servicing, loan processing, and underwriting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling complex transactions
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in basic math for financial calculations related to escrow accounts.
  • A background in banking or financial services.
  • Proficient in using RBJ software.
