PURPOSE OF JOB:
As the SEC Reporting Manager with Route 92 Medical, Inc., you will report directly to the VP of Finance and be part of our growing accounting and finance team. The SEC Reporting Manager will be responsible for leading the preparation, analysis, and filing of the company’s financial statements in accordance with SEC regulations, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, and other required filings. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting knowledge, experience with SEC reporting requirements, and excellent organizational skills.
This open role is based out of our corporate offices in San Mateo, CA and offers a hybrid work schedule which is generally defined as 2 days in the office and 3 days remote from home.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and lead the preparation and filing of all SEC reports, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, earnings releases, and other required filings
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and collaborate with internal departments to gather filing information and guarantee accurate and timely reporting
- Review and analyze financial statements, footnotes, and the MD&A to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with SEC requirements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SEC regulations and best practices in financial reporting and ensure timely adoption of any relevant changes
- Work with the finance team to identify technical accounting issues and work with technical accounting consultants to document the Company’s positions
- Monitor, assess, and implement new accounting pronouncements applicable to the company and partner with stakeholders to analyze the impact
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of earnings releases
- Lead the selection and implementation of financial reporting software such as Workiva
- Take initiative for process improvements to scale and optimize the financial reporting process
- Support other tasks and duties as assigned
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- CPA preferred with roots in public accounting
- 5 years of experience in a SEC manager role
- Knowledge of XBRL and experience using financial reporting software
- A proactive approach to problem identification and remediation solutions, and excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact and build relationships across all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently, complete work timely, and work well as a team member
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex financial information to various stakeholders
- Must be highly accurate and detail-oriented, with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
