Overview
Assistant to Senior Citizen Housing Manager. This is a part time position with room for advancement paying $25 to $30/hour depending on experience. The main duties are to support the functions of our Housing Manager covering 61 independent senior apartments within three projects in the Steamboat Springs area: Selbe Apartments, Mountain View Manor and Aspen View Manor.
Duties include but are not limited to the following: Verbal and written communication with our senior residents is ongoing related to maintenance issues, updates and conflict resolution. Meeting new senior residents and assisting them through the application and background screening to determine eligibility while managing the wait list for available units. Perform annual recertifications. Collecting and posting rent payments monthly and making bank deposits. Monthly reporting for government agencies using MINC financial program. Preparing budgets and financial reports for the board of Routt County Foundation for Senior Citizens. Meeting weekly with Executive Committee Board Members. Emergency 24-hour contact and daily response to tenant calls, issues or complaints. Annual audit preparation. As needed, determine necessary maintenance or renovation for residential units and overall maintenance on all three building sites. This includes capital improvements, building repairs and updates, parking areas, lawn care, laundry facilities, elevators and security measures.

Responsibilities
- Oversee daily office operations and ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain calendar management for construction and maintenance projects, scheduling appointments and meetings as needed.
- Implement and manage office policies and procedures to enhance productivity.
- Utilize financial software for financial record keeping and reporting.
- Ensure the functionality of phone systems and other office technology.
- Provide administrative support including document preparation, filing, and correspondence management.
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and collaboration among staff.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role.
- Strong desire to assist and work with senior citizens in our community.
- Strong knowledge of effective communication and time management, human resources practices and office management procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience is a plus but not required.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Familiarity with phone systems and basic troubleshooting techniques.
