This position provides project management and technical leadership of environmental investigation and remediation projects, as well as assisting in the development of technical staff to meet client and organizational needs.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field.
- Minimum of 10 years of environmental consulting experience.
- Holds professional certification as a P.E., or absent certification, a minimum of 7 years working with a licensed professional.
- Experience with remedial investigations & remedial actions for multimedia sites.
- An understanding of the NJDEP’s Contaminated Site Remediation & Redevelopment program rules, regulations, and guidance.
- Proficient in performing senior level interpretation work including remedial cost estimates.
- Experience performing conceptual and detailed remedial design work.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Experience managing field personnel and subcontractors.
- Advanced data evaluation and analytical skills.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to support the technical growth of project / staff level professionals based on direct hands-on interactions.
Essential Duties
Manage projects including key responsibilities for scheduling and coordination of project resources to meet client and organizational needs.
Self-perform technical work aligned with senior experience and technical discipline.
Assist with the preparation of proposals, cost estimates, and assist with other marketing activities.
Participate in the development of junior staff and work with senior management to continue to grow as a consultant and leader of the firm.
Physical Demands / Work Environment Conditions
This position occasionally works provides oversight and / or in the field, and predominantly works in an office environment. In the field, the candidate will be working independently or more commonly will be leading a larger team at exterior project sites (i.e., industrial / brownfield facilities, monitoring wells, treatment systems, construction projects). These field activities require the ability to drive to different project sites and physically move around outdoors in various terrains, and occasionally in adverse weather conditions. Office work is primarily stationary / sedentary using a computer and keyboard / mouse requiring repetitive hand movements.
