The Laboratory Supervisor’s responsibilities encompass supervising personnel, ensuring that manufacturing production adheres to an established schedule, upholding quality control standards, managing inventory, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing the overall efficiency and excellence of our laboratory operations.

Responsibilities Overview:
Daily Duties include but are not limited to the following areas:
Laboratory Oversight:
- Manage production for cartridge and Drink Loud, including scheduling and workflow coordination.
- Uphold rigorous cleanliness, safety, and organization standards in the laboratory.
- Collaborate with the Laboratory Manager to develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to meet regulatory requirements.
- Review and appropriately file Master Batch records.
- Supervise the intake of raw materials, maintain documentation, and ensure adherence to documentation protocols.
- Input necessary data into track and trace system as required, and maintain all data streams.
- Procure input materials for cartridges, Drink Loud, and pre-rolls.
Quality Control:
- Implement and monitor stringent quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
- Contribute to the development and execution of quality assurance programs.
- Conduct routine quality audits and assist in addressing any non-conformance issues.
- Promptly contact the relevant departments or services to address and resolve the situation in the event of equipment failure or facility issues
Staff Training and Development:
- Mentor and train laboratory staff in safety protocols, regulatory compliance, order fulfillment, production, and quality assurance.
- Evaluate staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and administer appropriate disciplinary measures as needed.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the laboratory team.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with local and state regulations pertaining to SOPs, Master Batch records, and mandated documentation.
- Facilitate compliance audits, conducting walkthroughs with regulatory representatives and addressing their queries when inspections occur.
Inventory Management:
- Supervise inventory control processes, including tracking and procurement of laboratory supplies and materials.
- Safeguard proper storage and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials in accordance with regulations.
- Manage the inventory of raw materials, supervising the intake process, and ensuring accurate and organized documentation
Additional Responsibilities Include:
The Laboratory Supervisor may be assigned other tasks and responsibilities by the General Manager, including but not limited to:
- Conducting routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Preparing and sterilizing laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Collecting and preparing samples for analysis.
- Operating laboratory instruments and equipment, following established procedures.
- Participating in quality control and quality assurance activities.
- Assisting in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of laboratory protocols and procedures.
- Regular cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment and facility.
- Assist with laboratory and equipment cleanup. Wash and sterilize lab surfaces and glassware.
- Disposal of waste to keep laboratory and all other working areas in pristine conditions.
- General routine maintenance on lab equipment.
- Troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and regular data logging.
- Maintain and log all data sheets for chemicals and products
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Physical Requirements:
- Light to moderate lifting (up to 25-75lbs); heavier weights with assistance.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Repetitive motions and understanding of lab equipment.
- Working at a fast pace, subject to many interruptions and both physical and mental demands.
- Preparing equipment and plant materials for extraction.
- Capable of making products such as: shatter, oil, wax, live resin and more.
- Maintaining inventory records of supplies, materials, and equipment, and preparing requisitions as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Proven experience as a Laboratory Technician or Supervisor or in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Team oriented and honest.
- Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing setting preferred.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Google sheets, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Honest, Trustworthy, and articulate
- Well organized and self-motivated.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willing to help in other areas of the operation if needed.
- Adherence to ethical standards and safety regulations.
- Ability to follow directions. Stay current with up-to-date industry standards.
