Job Overview
The Recruiter will be responsible for helping accomplish the ultimate success of Rove’s national recruiting program, located at or near its Costa Mesa, CA headquarters. In this role, you will provide forward-looking guidance to Rove’s various departments in the recruiting and hiring process, while also serving as the in-house recruiting subject matter expert for the organization. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent for various positions within the organization. This includes taking charge of planning, developing and implementing a new and productive talent acquisition strategy for Rove.
This role requires someone who is a resourceful and self-directed individual who can communicate comfortably and confidently with candidates, coworkers and executive-level management. Additionally, the Recruiter will utilize various tools and platforms to create and maintain recruitment reports that provide insights into key metrics such as vacancies, headcount, time-to-fill, and other KPIs, supporting data-driven decisions and aligning recruitment strategies with business goals,
General Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the execution and administration of all recruiting and employment activities, which include substantive the following areas:
- Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals.
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential candidates and assess their qualifications.
- Screen resumes and applications to shortlist qualified candidates for interviews.
- Communicate effectively with candidates throughout the hiring process, providing timely updates and feedback.
- Processes and interview prospective candidates for the Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance and Corporative divisions.
- Determine appropriate match of applicant skills to job responsibilities and supports administration of pre-employment testing and screening interviewing.
- Partner with senior and regional management to understand and anticipate recruiting needs to ensure appropriate applicant flow.
- Supports retention-building activities to achieve and maintain retention goals.
- Collaborates with departmental hiring managers throughout the recruitment process and propose improvement plans to alleviate pain points or slower than average recruiting times.
- Oversee recruitment workload and ensure hiring manager adherence to recruitment process.
- Draft offer request emails to include candidate salary/hourly wage expectations, and any additional candidate requirements (relocation or sign-on bonus requests) for HR and Hiring Manager review and offer determination.
- Coordinate departmental new hire on-boarding processes with regional training managers via email to appropriate team members.
- Prepare and maintain recruiting reports, including but not limited to vacancies, headcount and time-to-fill.
- Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and recruitment metrics.
- Provide regular reports to the Director of Human Resources, and as requested, senior management on recruitment progress, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Analyze and interpret data to optimize recruiting strategies and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Systematize and manage the development of job descriptions for all roles across the company and work with the Director of Human Resources to create compensation guides for various positions.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
Vendor Management:
- Oversee relationships with external recruitment agencies, job boards, and recruitment software providers, ensuring maximum ROI on external partnerships (including but not limited to Indeed, LinkedIn, United Greens, ZipRecruiter and Vangst).
On-Boarding Management:
- Ensure new employee documentation is collected and submitted in a timely manner to the Human Resources Department.
- Coordinate with the Human Resources Department to ensure new employee on-boarding is completed, Paychex profiles are properly set-up, and new employees successfully register their accounts in Paychex.
- Follow-up with new employees and managers before the 90-day evaluation; provide guidance and feedback to enhance the new hire process.
- Attend hiring events; ensuring a positive company image and physical presence in the community.
Scope:
- Decision making/discretion – provided input and data to support HR/recruiting decision making. Should be able to interpret prevailing laws to stay in compliance
- Results – Demonstrate accuracy and reliability as this function interacts with legal aspects of recruitment and employment and labor law. High level of attention to detail and judgement is required to maintain zero errors in both recruitment and on-boarding life cycle.
- Strategy Development – Will be providing input to HR/recruiting process to enhance efficiency
Skills & Qualification
- Knowledge of how to run and manage a full-life cycle for recruiting.
- Ability to create and manage a talent acquisition metrics system.
- Independent creative sourcing techniques for candidates.
- Experience in interviewing techniques to assess candidate qualifications effectively.
- Strong negotiation skills to facilitate contract discussions with potential hires.
- Driver to lead and improve recruiting, and new hire orientation process.
- Demonstrate capacity to build and expand relationships to recruit top tier talent preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple recruitment projects simultaneously.
- Ability to understand, analyze and report analytics using existing recruiting platforms preferred.
- Strong program management skills to design, deploy and optimize talent sourcing and recruiting solutions that can scale.
- A polished and professional demeanor and strong sense of discretion in working with confidential and sensitive information and documents.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency is MS Outlook, Word, and Excel skills.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3 Years of Experience in Human Resources, and/or Talent Acquisition required.
Compensation
- $75,000- $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Annual Discretionary Bonus and Cost of Living Increase (COLA)
