What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surveillance and Security Enforcement Officer position at Rovers Security Company?
We are looking for a compassionate, competent Security Officer to undertake the surveillance of our premises and protection of staff and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior as well as providing one-on-one guarding of homicidal/suicidal patients in ED. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of situational awareness. The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping facilities safe for staff, patients and guests.
Qualifications
- Military, law enforcement and/or security experience is preferred
- Skilled in de-escalation techniques
- Familiar and comfortable using various forms of defensive tactics
- Customer service experience is required
- Ability to handle highly stressful situations is required
- Drug test and health screening required
- Keen situational awareness experience, proven
Responsibilities
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
- Monitor entrance of vehicles or people in the property
- Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
- Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
- Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
- Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
- Respond to all codes
- Provide security one-on-one with patients as needed by staff
- Provide assistance to people in need
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
Skills
- Proven experience as security officer or guard
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
- Familiarity with report writing
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense (we provide training)
- Registered as a security officer (DPSST)
- High School diploma is required

Pay: $45,760.00 - $48,880.00 per year
