Position Summary:
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking a dedicated Economics Instructor to join our faculty. This Full-Time position is responsible for teaching economics courses, developing engaging curriculum, and fostering a supportive learning environment that promotes student success. At least 40 hours per week are to be spent in the following: direct instruction, preparation and evaluation of instruction, accessibility to students, advising and servicing the college and community, and committee assignments. Faculty may be assigned a teaching schedule that includes any college location, and at times that meet student, program and college needs. Experience with online instruction and a willingness to incorporate innovative teaching strategies are preferred. Join us in shaping the future of our students and community!
Required Education/Experience:
- Master’s degree in Economics from a regionally accredited institution, or a master’s degree in a closely related field that includes at least 18 graduate hours in Economics from a regionally accredited institution.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:
- Multi-discipline academic qualifications
- Commitment to on-going professional development in the use of AI.
- Teaching experience in Higher Education, to include active and collaborative learning techniques.
- Teaching experience using alternative instructional delivery systems.
- Ability to guide students from a variety of educational backgrounds.
- Familiarity with ACBSP standards and criteria for accreditation.
- Active participation in relevant professional organizations.
