The Administrator, RCSJ Welcome Center is responsible for assisting the VP with work related to carrying out the functions and responsibilities of the office. Strong emphasis on customer service via face-to-face, on-line and telephone contact. Serves as the primary point of contact for Rowan Choice students and families upon enrollment. Assists with day-to-day operations of the RCSJ Welcome Center, particularly around the Rowan Choice program.
Travel will be required, as this position will work on both the RCSJ Welcome Center at Rowan University and the RCSJ-Gloucester campus

- Serves in an ombudsperson capacity for Rowan Choice students and prospective students to answer relevant questions and address concerns around enrollment procedures for the program.
- Coordinates with Rowan University offices to maintain accurate student information relating to housing, meal plans, registration, Wellness Center requirements, and any other information critical to their enrollment in the Rowan Choice program.
- Coordinates with all appropriate offices at both RCSJ and Rowan University to ensure accurate information upon enrollment in or withdrawal from the Rowan Choice program.
- Develops and executes the onboarding and orientation of new Rowan Choice students in coordination with Rowan University’s Office of Orientation and Leadership as well as the Director of Rowan Choice.
- Provides exemplary customer service to all inquiries and follow up communications (in-person, telephone, email, print) with a strong knowledge of college policies and procedures relating to the partnership with Rowan University.
- Provides follow-up support and communication regarding appointments between students and advisors.
- Assists with various aspects of the admission and enrollment process for Rowan Choice as part of the enrollment team.
- Initiates all purchasing requisitions for the Rowan University Center.
- Coordinates with RCSJ staff to reserve space as needed for partnership programs.
- Creates a variety of documents, forms, reports, and mail merges with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Performs daily, term driven and project-oriented responsibilities within the administrative system for the Rowan University Center.
- Under the direction of the VP, provides oversight to the storage of student records and official documents and is responsible for maintaining the management of confidential student records, ensuring the integrity of academic records, maintaining compliance with FERPA, college policies, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Provides customer service regarding appointment scheduling, walk-in advising, and general inquiries to the RCSJ Welcome Center.
- Available to support activities on and off campus that may be scheduled during nights and weekends.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of student service experience working in higher education, preferably with recruitment experience
- Knowledge of Ellucian Banner Student module preferred
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Commitment to and knowledge of a comprehensive community college philosophy and a student-centered learning environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with variable hours, includes evenings and possible weekends.
- Ability to travel to multiple educational institutions, utilizing personal vehicle for travel.
