Job Description:
The Team Coordinator is the primary representative to the student body for the College's Business Office. This individual must accurately perform assigned manual or machine accounting applications related to the accounts receivable function, as well as perform other tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Processes cash receipts and accounts receivable records in accordance with established procedures.
- Receives money/payments and gives receipts.
- Prepares student and 3rd party billings.
- Assists with verifying financial aid and other refund checks as authorized.
- Maintains cash and accounts receivable registers.
- Assists students with billing questions and concerns.
- Maintains pertinent records and files.
- Completes reconciliation and data entry assignments.
- Accurately completes daily cashier settlement.
- Assists in preparing reports and lists.
- Verifies cash and prepares bank deposits.
- Assists with training of new Business Office personnel.
- Manages Business Office email and voicemail boxes with timely responses.
- Processes county chargeback billings and credits each semester.
- Assists with collection efforts on past-due balances.
- Maintains accurate and confidential student records in compliance with FERPA regulations.
- Answers phone inquiries related to student accounts and accepts payments by phone.
- Performs other related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Two (2) years of directly applicable cash handling experience required. Prior experience in higher education preferred.
- Good communication skills required.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook required.
- Ability to work with discretion, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound independent judgment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with varied hours, including nights to meet department and College needs.
- Possess the ability to work well and communicate effectively with prospective and current students, staff, faculty, administration, and colleagues and community partners.
- Demonstrated cultural competence, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff and a commitment to a student-centered environment.

- COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement for all positions at Rowan College of South Jersey.
