Located in the heart of North Carolina’s Piedmont, Rowan County is attractively and conveniently nestled between the state’s largest city and its Capitol. Rowan County is currently seeking applicants for the position of Veterans Treatment Court Case Manager(Grant funded) to provide comprehensive case management services to veteran participants in the treatment court program and coordinating services for justice-involved veterans, assisting them with accessing community resources, and supporting their rehabilitation efforts; including but not limited to: conducting initial intake assessments to determine the needs of veteran participants and develop individualized case management plans; coordinating with treatment providers, including mental health and substance abuse counselors, to ensure comprehensive care; monitoring participant compliance with court orders, treatment plans, and other program requirements; providing supportive counseling to veterans to help them address issues such as substance abuse, mental health concerns, and life skills development; making referrals to housing, employment, educational, and healthcare resources as needed; and tracking and documenting participants' progress, prepare reports for the court, and update case files regularly. Funding for this position is guaranteed through 9/30/26 (It is the intent of the County to apply for continued funding beyond 6/30/26 however this cannot be guaranteed).
Requires considerable knowledge of case management principles, techniques, and practices; familiarity with veteran-specific challenges, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance use disorders, and the military-to-civilian transition; knowledge of community resources, including veterans' services, mental health, substance abuse treatment, and housing programs; knowledge of Veterans Affairs (VA) systems and the range of benefits available to veterans; and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with veterans, court personnel, service providers, and the community.
Minimum qualifications include a Associate's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field and at least one year of experience in case management, preferably in a criminal justice, behavioral health, or veterans' services setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with military populations or justice-involved individuals is strongly preferred. A valid driver’s license is required. All degrees/coursework must be from an appropriately accredited institution.
Starting Salary $44,900 - $49,300/annual (commensurate with experience) and excellent benefits package available. Benefits include health, dental, vision, retirement, 401K, flexible spending, paid holidays, employee discounts, and more.
