The County is currently accepting applications for the position of Income Maintenance Supervisor II. This position supervises Income Maintenance Caseworkers in Economic Programs; plans, organizes, trains, develops work procedures, establishes workflow patterns, reviews work for accuracy, documents employees’ monthly performance and counsels employees; ensures compliance with Local, State and Federal laws, policies and procedures; ensures cases are processed timely; interprets policy; and resolves conflicts and complaints.
Requires thorough knowledge of State policy and procedural knowledge of Income Maintenance Programs for Food & Nutrition Services; basic knowledge in other IM Programs (Medicaid, SA, SCCA, WFFA, Energy), skill in mathematical reasoning and computation; and the ability to supervise income maintenance staff. Requires exceptional customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Business Administration, Accounting, Paralegal or related field and three years work experience as a IM Caseworker; an Associate’s Degree in Human Services, Business Administration, or related area and four years work experience as an IM Caseworker; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; requires one year of supervisory experience and three years experience applying policy and procedure. NC Caseworker Certification and bilingual candidates preferred. All degrees, coursework must be from an appropriately accredited institution.
Starting Salary $54,600 - $60,000 (commensurate with experience) and excellent benefits package available.
