Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service within a nursing home environment. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation and ensure that residents receive nutritious and appealing meals tailored to their dietary needs. This role is essential in maintaining the overall well-being of our residents through proper nutrition and food service.

Duties

• Buss tables and clean dining areas after meals, maintaining a tidy environment for residents.
• Help with food production tasks, including portioning, plating, and packaging of meals.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness by following proper sanitation practices and adhering to health regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service and address any resident concerns regarding food.
• Participate in training sessions related to dietetics and food service best practice
• Promptly greet guests as they are seated and bring water to table.
• Clear tables after guests leave. Take dishware to the dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing.
• Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to server immediately.
• Communicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and guest service.
• Reset tables promptly and correctly.
• Communicate with the hostess to ensure that all guest needs are being met.
• Show flexibility in terms of your schedule to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the dining room manager or immediate supervisor.
• Maintain a high level of personal cleanliness.
• Be a team player; help fellow employees when possible.
• Participate in any other job-related duties assigned by F&B Manager.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or dietary settings is preferred but not required; we provide training for the right candidates.
• Familiarity with cooking techniques, food preparation, and meal preparation processes is advantageous.
• Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
