Job Summary

Rowans Bar and Grill is looking to add a Host/Hostess to the dining room. We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth seating experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tables, silverware and glasses are clean and properly set up.
• Take and schedule reservations by phone and in person.
• Greet guests, escort them to their tables, present menus, and make menu recommendations upon request.
• Ensure guests receive prompt courteous service and respond to complaints and comments or refer the responses to the Management Team.
• Supervise service to assist servers when needed.
• Complete the guest satisfaction cycle by thanking guests and inviting them to return with a fond farewell.
• Ensure no section of the dining room is overlooked.
• Check with the guest if everything is satisfactory.
• Refill water for guests at tables.
• Care for decoration of the dining room, lobby and event room as needed.
• Perform any assignments as directed by the Management team.

Qualifications, Skills & Educational Requirements

This position requires a pleasant personality and a neat appearance, along with excellent people, verbal and writing skills. Prior experience in the industry is preferred.
