The Rowan-Salisbury School System is seeking a highly skilled Reading Design Coach to support the implementation of our Literacy Plan. This role will work closely with K-5 staff to enhance their ability to provide reading instruction that builds students' sense of engagement and ownership in learning.

This role will work closely with K-5 staff to enhance their ability to provide reading instruction that builds students' sense of engagement and ownership in learning.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized, classroom-based support to implement the Rowan-Salisbury School System's Literacy Plan.
- Develop, implement and lead professional development opportunities and research-based instructional approaches.
- Coach and model best teaching practices through demonstration lessons.
- Guide teachers to collect and analyze data and develop instructional plans in response to determined student needs.
- Collaborate with school administration to design, implement, and assess school change initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 5 years proven successful elementary classroom experience.
- Deep knowledge of researched-based reading, writing, and literacy development, and successful implementation in a classroom environment.
- Solid interpersonal skills (communication, problem-solving, conflict management, collaboration) to share research-based instructional approaches with teachers and administrators.
- Experience in delivering effective professional development and creating customized training programs.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
