Academic Special Projects Manager

The Rowan University South Jersey Technology Park is seeking an Academic Special Projects Manager, responsible for analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to inform and optimize the go-to-market strategy for our online education business line. This role requires a data-driven and detail-oriented professional who can provide valuable insights to drive effective decision-making This position is key in achieving Rowan University’s mission and goals including access, affordability, quality, and economic impact.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities, trends, and potential challenges in the online education space

• Analyze competitor activities and market dynamics to inform the university's GTM strategy

• Provide insights and recommendations to optimize product positioning, pricing, and promotion

• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of GTM initiatives

• Generate regular reports to communicate the effectiveness of marketing and sales strategies

• Work closely with the sales team to provide data-driven insights that enhance their effectiveness in the field

• Develop sales collateral, tools, and resources to support the execution of the GTM strategy

• Collaborate with marketing, sales, product management, and other teams to ensure alignment in GTM strategies

Key Metrics Essential for Effective Performance:

• Partner acquisition – cost, partner pipeline health (coverage and conversion rates), lead response time

• Student body growth – diversity, satisfaction

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; master's degree preferred.

• Proven experience in market analysis, GTM strategy, or a related role.

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Familiarity with the online education sector is a plus

The individual selected for this position will be hired as an employee of the South Jersey Technology Park; a separate 501(c)(3) affiliated entity of Rowan University.
