Anatomic Pathology Post Graduate Residency. The Schrieber School of Veterinary Medicine (SSVM) at Rowan University invites applications for one post-grad residency position in veterinary anatomic pathology that will begin July 1, 2025. The successful applicant will complete their diagnostic duty between the SSVM in Glassboro, NJ and the New Jersey Animal Health Diagnostic Laboratory (NJ AHDL) in Ewing under the primary guidance of 2 Rowan University ACVP-board certified anatomic pathologists with supplemental guidance from 2 NJ AHDL anatomic pathologists and 2 SSVM ACVP board-certified clinical pathologists. Trainees will be exposed to a diverse diagnostic caseload that includes submissions from the SSVM teaching hospital, private clinics, livestock and backyard poultry, racehorses, and regional marine mammal agencies. Pathology residents will be eligible for ACVP board-certification upon completion of the program.
SSVM is New Jersey’s first veterinary school with the inaugural DVM class starting in Fall 2025. A 167k square foot building housing a full-service small animal teaching hospital, an academic facility with lab and classroom space, as well as research laboratory space is slated to open in August 2025. Services provided will include primary care, emergency, anesthesia, cardiology, critical care, dermatology, dentistry, exotics, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, radiology, clinical pathology, anatomic pathology, and surgery.
Applicants must have a DVM or equivalent degree from an AVMA accredited College of Veterinary Medicine and be eligible for a New Jersey veterinary license.
