The International Center (IC) at Rowan University is seeking a part-time, temporary International Student Advisor. Reporting to the Director of International Student and Scholar Services, this is an ideal position for a recent graduate, someone who has experience with student affairs, and / or experience working with international students. Training will be provided for the successful candidate to carry out the F-1 visa duties of a Designated School Official (DSO). Per federal regulations, DSOs must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents.
Issuing I-20 Form for New Admitted Students
- Coordinates integration of student records using Slate, Banner, and Terra Dotta
- Works with International Admissions and the English Language Program (ELP) to prepare certificates of eligibility (I-20) for students to obtain F-1 visa
- Reissue I-20 Form for those who need to defer their start date or reapply for F-1 visa
- Track the status of pending I-20 Forms and coordinates and shares information with relevant campus units

This temporary, part-time position is assigned no more than twenty-five (25) hours per week. Work is contracted annually to coincide with the fiscal year and is contingent upon budget appropriate.
