What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Part Time Hourly Support Staff (Civil and Environmental Engineering) position at Rowan University?
The Support Staff of the Civil and Environmental Engineering department will maintain accounts and analyze budgets. They will collaborate with other administrative staff across the campus. The Support person will interact with various vendors, faculty and student workers and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Manage operating, grant & revenue and other accounts and support all relevant budget activities for the Sustainable Facilities Center (SFC).
- Responsible for budget analysis, monitoring, management and processing of all invoices, and expenditures.
- Support purchasing operations for SFC grants.
- Coordinate select activities with the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) for Budget Transfers and the Departmental Charge Authorization (DCA) for SFC grants.
- Collegially interact with faculty and staff both within and outside of the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with other departments, colleges and administrative units across campus.
- Coordinate and manage SFC interns.
- Work with outside constituents such as travel agencies, food vendors, and industry partners.
- Aid with undergraduate student hiring, training, supervision, time sheet approval, and payment.
- Help faculty and staff with office supply needs.
- Assistance with travel and reimbursement processes for faculty, staff and students.
- Support hiring, scheduling, maintenance and other Center operations.
- Maintain records for students, faculty and staff.
- Understand and use all Rowan online systems to support SFC operations – such as: “Banner”, “Works”, “25Live”,” RIMS”, “Travel”, “ProfsJobs”, etc.
- Complete data entry as needed, to be of help to staff.
- Assist in coordinating department events.
- Performs other duties to support the SFC as assigned.

Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or applicable experience
Hours:
- This temporary, part-time position is assigned no more than twenty-five (25) hours per week and is not to exceed 944 hours per fiscal year. Work is contracted annually to coincide with the fiscal year and is contingent upon budget appropriations.
