Job Summary:
The Scheduling and operations planning Manager will review orders, sales histories, trends, and
any relevant market information to develop long-term & short-term production schedules,
working to balance supply and demand, managing Finished Good inventory, with zero out of
stocks. They are responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of stock to meet sales demand,
optimizing capacity, labor, and equipment. They will work closely with procurement and
production to coordinate the availability of raw materials for the production process. This
position requires a team player, a forward-thinking attitude, and an aptitude for analyzing and
decision making.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop & Maintain Master Production Schedule (MPS) in company system to prepare
requirements for purchased and manufactured parts - Ensure communications to maintain desired inventory levels
- Develop, monitor, and analyze data to revise and improve production capacity and
capability - Develop balance between existing and future customer demand needs with
manufacturing and production team, to ensure completion of customer requirements - Improve tools for material availability
- Coordinate with Procurement Project Manager and Product Development on new items
& label changes as requested - Maintain MRP with work orders/jobs, forecasting, and planning parameters
- Work with production director to organize workflow
- Track labor and overhead costs, developing metrics to measure production and
procurement functions via service level and inventory targets - Primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing
departments - Maintain ERP item Master’s, BOM’s, and routings as necessary
- Initiate and drive projects for continuous improvement concerning inventory planning and
accuracy - Performs all other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- MRP experience a plus
- Efficient typing skills, with an emphasis on accuracy
- Ability to compile information and make decisions
- Ability to work under pressure
- Critical Thinking & analysis skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to adapt to a changing and growing environment
Education and Experience:
- At least 1 year of Scheduling and Planning in a manufacturing environment, preferred
- Knowledge of ERP in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
