Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator for our client, a well-established law firm in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing IT systems in a law firm setting. The Systems Administrator will protect the systems and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in developing the overall IT strategy. Effective verbal and written communication are essential as you will be responsible for outlining your objectives and project expectations, meeting with stakeholders, and training and/or supporting users on system related issues.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN connections
- Perform regular data backups and implement disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure data security and compliance with ME firm policies
- Respond to user inquiries, provide technical support, and resolve hardware and software-related issues
- Install and maintain security patches and updates to protect systems from potential vulnerabilities
- Monitor system logs and activity to detect and respond to security breaches or unauthorized access
- Collaborate with IT team members to plan and implement system upgrades and enhancements
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve system efficiency and performance
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and data protection policies
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, server hardware, software, and applications
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure maximum uptime and performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- At least three years of proven experience as a System Administrator or a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of IT systems and infrastructure
- Proficiency in administering and troubleshooting Windows operating systems
- Knowledge of network protocols, services, and security concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, etc)
- Experience with SurePoint LMS, Aderant, 3E, Box, Filevine, Chromeriver, and/or iTimeKeep
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with users and collaborate within the IT team
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently
- Must be able to work on-site five days a week in Philadelphia, PA
