Overview
This position is responsible for calling on new and existing industrial and commercial accounts for the western Michigan counties of Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, St Clair, and Livingston. This position involves working with new accounts and existing accounts to grow industrial business within the assigned territory. The position will require making several calls per day, with a focus on growing new business as well as existing business. This position will primarily be calling on accounts that include: plastic injection molding plants, steel processing plants, machine shops, food processing plants, power and energy plants, trucking companies, construction companies, and aggregate facilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with new and existing accounts to develop lubricant business within the assigned territory
- Assist customers with product information, pricing, order entry, product selection, and problem solving
- Work closely with purchasing, customer service, and logistics to serve customer needs and expectations
- Assist credit manager with accounts receivable collections as needed
- Maintain sales and activity reports through the use of CRM software for all customers and prospects
- Participate in scheduled sales meetings and marketing events such as seminars, trade shows and telemarketing events
- Maintain high level of industry knowledge on product lines through continued education and training

Requirements
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity of CRM platforms
- Valid driver’s license
- 1 years of sales or relevant experience
- Professional presence and proficiency in customer-focused or consultative selling
Preferred Experience
- 3 years in the lubricants industry
- Certified Lubrication Specialist
- Metalworking lubricants experience
- SX ERP usage
Hours
This is a full-time commission-based position with a 2-year base commission guarantee.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will have no supervisory responsibility.
Travel
Travel will occur daily throughout assigned territory. Employee must reside within assigned territory.
