What You Will Do:
As the Area Sales Manager, you will be a driving force in developing market share through distributors and key accounts. You will set-up, manage, and strengthen the distributor network in your area within North America.
What You Will Accomplish:
- Propose the long-term vision for the distributor network in the area to maximize market coverage, market share, and penetration.
- Select distributors in alignment with gaps or opportunities identified within the long-term vision.
- Monitor and implement action plans regarding distributor performance.
- Assure, enhance, and support the use of provided tools with the goal to increase and reach self-sufficiencies
- Frequently visit the distributor to motivated, address concerns, and support them in covering and/or expanding the territory.
- Identify prospect sales and manage/increase Key Accounts.
- Prepare and elaborate on project solutions – ensuring requirements are met for our direct customers.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide updates in market trends and evolutions to ensure Roxell products and services are meeting customer’s expectations and demands.
- Function as a Roxell Ambassador to increase brand awareness and sales.
Position Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field required; May consider candidates with an Associates with significant related work experience
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in outside technical capital equipment sales within a distributor/dealer network; Experience in or around the Agricultural/Farming industry highly preferred
- Certification(s): n/a
- Functional Skills: Solid consultative selling process experience; Previous experience with Capital Equipment/Capital Projects; Comfortable calling on distributors, including a process to qualify prospects, performing a needs analysis, assisting in building competitive quotes for end users, and closing the sale. Ability to successfully analyze market trends and plan/prioritize activities to drive sales. Exceptional ability to manage multiple competing priorities and multiple customers at one time is essential. Understanding of the poultry industry extremely desirable; Strong technical/mechanical aptitude
- Technology Aptitude/Skills: Proficient with MS Office; ability to learn and use in-house developed software programs is also essential.
- Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Comfortable with presentations to large groups of people; will interact with key customers, dealers, opinion leaders, as well as all levels of the organization.
- Leadership/Behaviors: Goal oriented, highly relational, collaborative, and ability to influence others. Must also be well organized, self-driven, and excellent with time-management, as well as the ability to be flexible and create changes where needed to drive the business. Passionate about being a Roxell Ambassador.

Other Important Information:
Salary: Salary is commensurate with proven expertise.
Reports To: Regional Sales Manager, North America
Core Hours: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm
Typical Work Week: M-F; some Saturdays & travel required for urgent matters; 42-45 hours a week on average

Work Conditions: Primarily an office/home office environment with visits to distributors, farms, and poultry houses
Travel: Approximately 60% overnight travel; Will visit Belgium 3-4 times a year
