Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform advanced maintenance operations in the Dallas - Fort Worth, TX area during the day shift, mid shift, and night shift. This position is based in Joshua, TX and requires performing a variety of tasks related to snow and ice, guardrail and attenuator repair/replacement, signs, lighting/electrical work, mowing, tree trimming, incident response, drainage cleaning, debris removal, and asphalt/concrete repairs, and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures. Schedule flexibility is a must, as there may be 10 – 20% of night work involved
Preferred Experience: Electrical & Roadway maintenance experience
Bilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required
Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
Ability to use smart phone and applications
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
Ability to operate hand/power tools
Schedule:
Full time; Day, Mid and Night shift available. Must be able to work weather events such as snow, ice, and floods.

Required Experience:
Safely perform electrical work at assigned areas
Work at varied heights
Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand tools
Air compressor operations familiarity
Minimum 2 years of related experience
Must have a valid Driver's License
Construction or Roadway maintenance experience
Guardrail and Sign installation experience
Concrete forming/repair experience
MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)
Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator
