Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Journeyman Electrician to perform maintenance operations in the Houston, TX area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to electrical installation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and other electrical services on roadway/facilities electrical systems; and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures. Must provide small hand tools and basic instruments. Powered equipment and large tools are provided. Position is full time and requires working on a rotating on-call schedule.
Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years of related experience
Knowledge of 480V and below 3-phase and single phase electrical power.
Customer service
Preferred Experience:
Roadway maintenance experience
MOT Certifications
Highway maintenance experience
Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check
Qualifications:
Texas Electrical Journeyman's license
High School Diploma/GED
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
Ability to use smart phone and applications
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
Ability to operate hand/power tools
Schedule:
Full time; must be abe to work on a rotating on-call schedule.
