What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radio Communications Technician position at Roy Walker Communications Inc.?
Job Description: Technician/Installer must install, maintain, and repair two way radio equipment in vehicles, communication centers, and equipment. Component level bench repairs are also performed on two way radio and other electronic equipment. Other duties include installation of Emergency lights, Sirens, Push Bumpers, Prisoner Partitions in public safety vehicles and equipment. There will be regular traveling to customer locations to preform above duties in a company provided vehicle. Must be able to work in all weather conditions and be able to work at heights. Technician/Installer will participate in an on call rotation for weekend, holiday, and after hours repairs to customer equipment.
Technician/Installer should have a working knowledge of electronic components, radio communications, and windows operating systems.
Experience: Any Experience troubleshooting and repairing rf circuits and antenna systems is desired. Experience with Motorola P25 Trunking systems and Motorola consoles is desired.
Education: Associates Degree in Electronics or Equivalent Military Experience
Any certifications from ETA International, CompTIA would be desired. Any FCC Licenses Would be Desired
Applicant must be able to pass a background check, have a clean driving record, valid drivers license, and submit to random drug screens
