Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled carpenter with at least 3 years of experience in framing, demolition, cabinet installation, finish carpentry, and flooring installation to join our team. While a current Oregon CCB (Construction Contractors Board) license is not required, it is a plus. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently on residential projects and is committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail across a variety of carpentry tasks.
Responsibilities
- Framing: Build, repair, and install structural elements, including walls, ceilings, and floors, to ensure stability and proper alignment of building structures.
- Demolition: Safely and efficiently remove existing structures, including framing, cabinetry, flooring, drywall, and other materials.
- Cabinet Installation: Measure, cut, and install custom cabinetry and shelving in kitchens, bathrooms, and other spaces.
- Finish Carpentry: Install trim, baseboards, crown molding, and other finishing touches with precision.
- Flooring Installation: Install various types of flooring (hardwood, laminate, tile, etc.), ensuring proper alignment, smooth finishes, and long-lasting durability.
- Site Preparation: Prepare workspaces for new installations, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail in all carpentry, framing, and flooring work.
- Tool Maintenance: Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other trades, including electricians and plumbers, to ensure seamless project completion.
- Client Communication: Maintain positive communication with clients, addressing any concerns and providing progress updates.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in carpentry, with expertise in framing, demolition, cabinet installation, finish carpentry, and flooring installation.
- Licensing: A current Oregon CCB (Construction Contractors Board) license is a plus, but not required.
- Skills: Proficient with a variety of carpentry and flooring tools, both hand and power tools.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and capable of working independently.
- Own Tools: Preferred for candidates to have their own tools for the job.
