Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Business Partnering
- Collaborate with department leaders to understand business priorities and workforce needs, providing HR solutions that align with company goals.
- Offer guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and team structure to support optimal performance.
- Act as a liaison between employees and leadership to ensure effective communication and alignment with company objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with leaders and teams to drive engagement and trust.
Employee Relations
Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, handling concerns with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality.Conduct thorough and timely investigations into workplace issues, including policy and conduct violations, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on handling employee relations challenges while fostering a positive and productive work environment.Partner with leadership to create and implement action plans to address employee concerns and improve team dynamics.Leadership Development and Support
Coach leaders on effective people management practices, including conflict resolution, performance feedback, and team engagement.Identify skill gaps and training needs and collaborate with leaders to facilitate tailored leadership education sessions.Support leaders in creating and implementing succession planning strategies to ensure continuity and growth within their teams.Provide tools and frameworks to help leaders develop and retain high-performing teams.Employee Engagement & Culture
Work closely with leaders to develop team-specific engagement strategies based on survey insights and feedback.Collaborate on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives to create an environment where all employees feel seen, valued, and included.Support programs and events that reinforce team cohesion, recognition, and employee well-being.Optimize touchpoints throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, professional development, internal mobility, career growth opportunities, and offboarding.Champion initiatives that promote Royal Ambulance’s values and foster a positive workplace culture.Performance Management
Partner with leaders to drive and assess the performance management process, ensuring alignment between individual goals and organizational objectives.Provide training and support for leaders to complete effective performance reviews, deliver employee feedback, and create SMART individual development plans.Refine performance management tools and practices for continuous improvement.Ensure that performance feedback is consistent, SMART, and values-aligned.Promote company praise and recognition programs to celebrate achievements, milestones, and employee contributions.Change Management
Partner with leaders to support organizational changes, including technology launches, process improvements, or new initiatives.Equip teams with communication plans, training, and tools to navigate transitions effectively.Monitor the impact changes are having on employees and provide feedback to leadership to address challenges proactively.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.5 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HR Business Partner or similar role.Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices.Proven experience managing employee relations, performance management, and leadership coaching.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.Ability to collect and analyze data, and provide actionable insights.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex situations with diplomacy.Ability to travel locally within the San Francisco Bay Area up to 25% of the time.About Royal :
