Fixed Income Trader
What is the opportunity?
As a Fixed Income Trader for RBC Wealth Management your primary responsibility will be to obtain best execution for the firm’s financial advisors (FA’s), in the following three products : Convertible Bonds, Spot FX and Non-USD Corporates. You will be expected to profitably manage the associated inventory and risk arising from servicing financial advisors in this capacity. In addition, you will develop and distribute relevant marketing and sales ideas to the firm’s financial advisor network. The Fixed Income Trader will successfully accomplish these tasks by engaging with financial advisors in a “high-touch” approach while continually focusing on their client’s best interests.
What will you do?
- Profitably trade Convertible bonds, FX & Non-dollar products from a best-ex standpoint
- Provide actionable market color / insight to FA’s to facilitate client orders through daily marketing emails and educational materials
- Develop, maintain and enhance FA relationships through a service orientated mindset
- Proactively utilize street contacts to maximize best-ex opportunity; expand coverage
- Leverage RBC’s expansive research platform to aid FA’s in servicing their clients

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $65,000 - $115,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
