Job Summary : Join the dynamic RBC Bank Finance team as a Senior Manager in Financial Control and Reporting. In this leadership role, you will engage in all facets of financial and regulatory reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance while overseeing processes for month-end and quarter-end close, technical accounting research, and various reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the daily accounting operations to ensure precise financial records.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entry approval and reconciliation reviews.
- Prepare key financial reports such as Earnings Flash and Audit Committee materials for senior management.
- Coordinate with various departments on accounting and reporting matters.
- Conduct impact analyses for newly issued accounting standards and transactions; present findings to senior management.
- Collaborate with teams to identify financial risks and assess controls, and lead discussions on existing controls and remediation plans for deficiencies.
- Act as the liaison between RBC Bank and independent accounting firms, as well as internal audit and control testing teams.
- Lead the preparation of annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and accuracy.
- Review and ensure timely filing of regulatory reports, maintaining internal controls and compliance with guidance.
- Stay current on regulatory changes and implement necessary process enhancements.
- Drive automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Participate in staff development and facilitate team direction by assigning tasks and ensuring timely work completion.
