Senior Manager – Technology Risk Management WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?An IT Risk partner and influencer, the Senior Manager, Technology Risk Management for RBC Bank (Georgia) N.A., is a trusted partner and advisor for the RBC Bank line of business and Global IT Risk function of RBC. The role communicates, supports, and monitors the application of IT Risk policies, standards and processes for RBC Bank (Georgia) N.A., ensuring IT Risk, Security, and Cyber controls are enforced and operating effectively. The role assesses and enforces IT Risk Standards as it relates to RBC Bank business goals, objectives, initiatives, and operating models, providing IT Risk leadership, council, and guidance. Leading a team of cyber and information security analyst, the role assists with identifying information security vulnerabilities and threats through key risk and performance metrics consulting on current and future state information technology engagements.Candidates considering this role must have the understanding and drive to proactively manage the safety and soundness of all RBC Bank endpoint resources, engagements, applications, interfaces, and developed resources working with internal and external partnerships to embed IT Risk Management in our way of working.WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Lead a team of IT risk and cyber security specialists responsible for ensuring security controls and protocols are operating effectively
Ensure security standards (e.g. Logical Access, Security Operations and Data Security, etc) are considered, designed and reviewed as part of new technology solutions via Design Authority or other appropriate process
Prepare and deliver Cyber security governance reporting across the business in conjunction with IT Risk & Data Committee (and other Committees as appropriate); ensuring business leaders understand the Cyber risks that might affect their departments and ensuring individuals understand their own accountability for material Cyber risks
Establish and report Cyber risk metrics based on RBC Bank’s risk appetite (thresholds indicated and reported through KPI and KRI metrics)
Serve as RBC Bank’s Cyber risk liaison for all cyber security incidents and ensure appropriate and timely communication with internal and external contacts should incidents occur
Build cyber risk awareness amongst staff by facilitating annual bank wide educational cyber security training
Develop, communicate and execute vision for enhanced cyber security controls and processes at RBC Bank
Ensure audit and regulatory issues pertaining to RBC Bank’s cyber security risks are remediated on time
Support exam participation, including material requests and follow-ups, for Cyber security regulatory bodies, external audit firms, and internal auditWHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have :
Significant planning and relationship skills; technology design / technology operations / large scale technology implementation experience
Strong knowledge of IT configuration, management and analytics; enterprise applications, data / information management and information delivery applications; IT standards and methodologies
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering / Science or equivalent industry certifications (Security , CISA or CISSP certification in process)
5 years’ experience working in large IT / Risk organizations
5 years’ experience in IT risk technologies, technology strategy and / or technology operations
