Position Summary / Job Purpose:
The Lead, Food & Beverage (F&B) Performance & Analytics is responsible for driving over $580M of Food and Beverage revenue while lowering costs and improving guest satisfaction. This position guides the business through data and analytics to create profitable strategies and plans as well as sets targets for F&B financials, guest satisfaction and other related KPIs. The role is also responsible for continuously evaluating and recommending F&B savings opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive the development of annual business objectives for Beverage & Specialty Restaurants including the detailed strategic plans to achieve the objectives set.
Yield manage F&B products to optimize revenue across the fleet.
Provide reporting and analytics with recommendations to increase revenue, improve guest satisfaction, and reduce costs.
Evaluate F&B promotions and marketing programs for effectiveness and recommend new, innovative initiatives and programs.
Responsible for developing F&B KPI forecasts (revenue, expense, and guest satisfaction).
Partner with F&B Operations and Finance to forecast consumables, replaceables, and food costs on a quarterly basis.
Assist with the development of performance management programs including the Balanced Scorecard, commission structures, and gratuity distribution systems.
Develop systems and tools to manage Point of Sale data files to support dynamic pricing based on ship, itinerary, demographics and other factors.
Create training materials and communicate with shipboard teams to help them better understand F&B financials and guest satisfaction reporting.
Financial Responsibilities:
Responsible for business analysis and reporting to help reach our fleet revenue and expense targets: Beverage revenue ( $480M); Specialty Restaurant revenue ( $100M); food costs ( $400M)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or equivalent (MBA preferred)
4-8 years related financial and/or business analysis experience
Exceptionally strong analytical skills
Knowledge and Skills:
Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
Knowledge of Hyperion, SQL, Visual Basic, Essbase and business intelligence tools preferred
Advanced analytical skills including mathematical modeling; broad exposure to operations research, and statistics
Strong decision-making experience, critical thinking, and cost/benefit analysis
