A young man who lives with his mom is looking for a Self-Directed Employee who can assist him with a variety of tasks which include but not limited to; assistance with walking, using the bathroom; light housekeeping for his room; his bathroom, and refill supplies; assistance with eating/ meal prepartation (must be able to identify his variable needs); and other areas of support. Other duties will be assigned as the young man’s needs change and evolve. The SDE will learn to use a feeding tube that includes but not limited to cleaning it. SDE will be trained by the family if needed. A great job for someone with nursing experience, nursing student, or a nurse looking to work part-time. CNA experience of 2 years preferred but not mandatory. Other duties would include adminstering medications and assisting with medication management.
This young man is a sports fan who has two favorite NFL teams, the Eagles and the Bengals, and enjoys watching the Flyers. He enjoys going to the mall and is also looking to get connected to his community. He also enjoys his iPad and reading books. He has a great sense of humor and has a genuine and sensitive personality.
This position will be split into two positions, however, flexibility in hours can be negotiated. The SDE should be available to provide either one Saturday or Sunday evening per month.
Schedule of Services:
Monday through Friday: 2pm- 8pm
In addition to the weekly schedule: One weekend day per month of six hours.
Rate of Pay: $25 per hour based on experience.
