Compensation:
$106,000- $145,000 plus bonus potential

Description:
Are you a seasoned, strategic credit manager who understands how to control credit risk while helping a strong financial institution grow? Do you possess the knowledge and experience to help strategically manage commercial real estate and business lending through good times and bad? As the Credit Risk Officer at Royal Credit Union, you will assist the VP of Credit Risk Management in overseeing business lending activities for CRE, C&I and small business lending. Your expertise will help develop, maintain, and enforce lending standards and underwriting practices. In this role, you will also be a resource for business lending leaders guiding lending activities. You will help manage approval processes and report on key risks and trends in our portfolio. Key Responsibilities:
This is a full-time, exempt level position. Hours will generally be Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm with occasional evening and weekend hours, as needed. Required Education/Experience/Skills:

Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging. Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal’s culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight managing credit risk in alignment with credit union objectives, risk tolerances, and regulatory standards.
- Credit Approvals: Exercise authority for approval of business loans and serve as a member of credit committees.
- Policy Development: Assist in developing, maintaining, and implementing the credit union’s Member Business Loan Policy and underwriting standards.
- Credit Administration: Help facilitate strong credit administration, financial analysis, workouts, collections, and regulatory compliance.
- Risk Management: Ensure credit risk ratings systems appropriately measure risk and are assigned on a timely basis.
- Portfolio Analysis: Oversee portfolio analysis and monitoring, including concentration trends and other risk measurements.
- Process Improvement: Help research and implement leading practices and third-party solutions to enhance capabilities and improve operational efficiencies.
- Training and Mentoring: Provide training, counseling, and mentoring to the Business Lending team.
- Regulatory Compliance: Assist with regulatory examinations, loan reviews, audits, and consulting engagements.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Proven leadership skills and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong knowledge of commercial lending, credit risk, and implications of economic and industry dynamics on credit risk.
- Seven (7) years of experience in commercial lending, credit risk management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
